I Can Breathe is a charitable organisation dedicated to improving
the diagnosis and management of chronic respiratory conditions
worldwide. Our organisation was established by respiratory
clinicians with experience working in both Nepal and the UK.
I Can Breathe was founded in memory of Narayan Sharma, the
grandfather of one of our members, who lived with COPD in a region
where access to respiratory care is limited. His experience with a
chronic respiratory condition, highlighted the urgent need for
earlier diagnosis, better education, and more compassionate,
informed care for those living with chronic lung diseases. His
story continues to inspire our mission to improve respiratory
health for others facing similar barriers.
Our mission is to make quality respiratory care accessible through collaboration, community education and innovative screening programs. We believe everyone deserves the chance to breathe freely and live healthier lives.
Our vision for the future is to establish sustainable respiratory care, through partnerships with international hospitals to provide free respiratory focused pop-up clinics, education, and support for patients and healthcare providers.
